FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a consultation before booking color?

If you are new, want a major change, have previous color, want grey blending, or are unsure what to book, a consultation or new client color appointment is strongly recommended.

What is the difference between grey coverage and grey blending?

Grey coverage is usually more opaque and designed to fully cover white or grey hair. Grey blending is softer and more dimensional, allowing some natural grey to remain visible while making the overall color feel intentional and balanced.

Can I go lighter in one appointment?

Sometimes, but not always. It depends on your starting color, previous color history, condition, texture, and goal. We will always prioritize the health of your hair over forcing a result too quickly.

Why does corrective color cost more?

Corrective color requires more time, planning, product, testing, and risk management. It often involves multiple steps and may require more than one appointment to reach the final goal safely.

How do I know what service to book?

If you are unsure, choose a consultation or new client color service. It is better to book with enough time than to accidentally book too little.

Do you offer low-maintenance color?

Yes. Many of our color services are designed to grow out softly and reduce the feeling of being trapped in constant upkeep. Low-maintenance does not mean no maintenance—it means smarter maintenance.

Can you help me transition away from coloring my grey?

Yes. We can create a plan to soften the grow-out, blend existing color, brighten grey areas, or gradually shift your color so the transition feels more intentional.

MAINTENANCE

How Often Should You Come In?

Every client’s maintenance rhythm is different, but here are general guidelines:

Every 4–6 Weeks

Best for traditional root coverage, high-contrast grey coverage, short haircuts, or clients who prefer a very polished finish.

Every 6–8 Weeks

Best for soft grey blending, tonal refreshes, dimensional color maintenance, glosses, and most haircut schedules.

Every 8–12 Weeks

Best for lived-in color, low-maintenance highlights, softer blonding, longer haircuts, and clients who prefer a more natural grow-out.

Seasonal Maintenance

Best for subtle brightness, occasional glossing, long-term color shifts, or clients who want very low-maintenance hair.

During your appointment, we will recommend a maintenance plan that matches your hair and your actual life.
